Hi all,
As mentioned previously on a few of the Podcasts I'm going to Burnley for my sins on Sunday the 28th and there isn't a viable way of getting there on the day of the game unless I decide to slog it out on a coach (No thanks!)
So I'm heading up to Manchester the afternoon before and will be staying in the City on the Saturday evening and thought it would be a great opportunity to get together with people who I perhaps wouldn't have the opportunity to see or meet.
I have decided on The Brotherhood Of Pursuits ...
The EFL Podcast's Jamie Roberts joins James to discuss latest thinking for Gaffr Fantasy.
Which assets should managers be looking at?
Do fixtures matter in The Championship or is form king?
And there's discussion around the boosts and how to use them including whether the Budget Booster is a help or a hindrance and why those planning to use the chip in GW30 may need to think again.
Plus, Jamie's Dog lets us know he wants in on the Podcast and our guest gets grilled on 'that' tweet
He may have been sacked by Middlesbrough this week but the week before Warnock passed the incredible milestone of the most games managed in English football having passed Dario Gradi's record of 1601 games managed.
So this week's quiz theme is on the man himself.
20 questions with 20 correct answers to be had and Suj makes penis innuendos.
Let us know how you score in the comments or on the ~trivia Slack channel but remember no spoilers please.
Best of luck!
We discuss Daniel Kretinsky's 27% stake in West Ham and tells us the important detail in a clause that expires in March 2023 which may hold the key for Kretinsky to take full ownership of The Hammers.
Plus, the impact of Angelo Ogbonna's injury and why it might lead to a switch to three at the back in some of the upcoming fixtures, and if it did there's agreement on which player might lose his place in the team.
While James recalls his trip to Goodison Park and despite a dour encounter there was plenty to take away. There's...
Early release of tomorrow's Clash of the Correspondents with Bradley Parker and Chris Stone for all Patrons
The Linden's are back together on the Podcast and James is helping Katie-Ann activate her wildcard. It's agreed (by James at least) that the team needs decimating.
There's the expected carnage, stupidity and disagreements when a husband and wife try and talk Fantasy Football. Can they agree on a way forward together?
With budget an issue will this lead to a heavy backline?
Will the wife find room for both Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son?
Plus, there's a Birthday to celebrate, sort of, Crystal Palace prove p...

- Selling rather than buying Kane
- Jota the priority
- Potential impact on Gallagher of Eze's likely return
- What next for Nuno

2021-11-05 13:27:30 +0000 UTC View Post
All the weekend games previwed and predicted, do United stick with a back four? Can Tottenham take advantage of Everton's 'spine' issues? Will West Ham v Liverpool be the weekend's highest scoring encounter?
James confirms his planned transfer has been made and Suj is stuck with 2 free transfers and not a clue what to do and like many others has a brutal benching dilemma this week but James begs him not to leave one particular player out.
Plus, all the usual Dead, Differential and Minus 56 updates.
This week's quiz is provided by Andrew Jarvis and the theme is youth team players with a twist. Andrew gives us one player who has come through the youth system at each of the 20 current Premier League clubs and tells us which club they made the most appearances for in their career, simply name the player.
There are some easy questions, and some that that are not so easy but there are additional clues to help get the right answer.
As ever let us know in the comments or on the #trivia Slack channel how you score but re...
Antonio Conte is the new manager of Tottenham Hotspur, something none of us could have foreseen happening this time last week.
James recalls the emotion of the last few days, the poisonous atmosphere from Saturday's defeat to Manchester United, the return of the empty dead feeling of nothingness and its replacement hope.
Nuno's sacking explained, why he was doomed to fail, how the players wanted him out and how Conte's appointment has immediately lifted the mood of the fans.
Plus, The dramatic Conte u-turn, Uni...

Could it really be that off the back of a week where Suj & James didn't captain Mo Salah and with several players flagged that they're both considering rolling a transfer?
Quite possibly, but in an unexpected turn of events James is considering defensive reinforcements from the last place you'd expect it.
But we begin with a comprehensive preview of all the Gameweek 10 games with far more time than usual spent on the weekend predictions.
Plus all the usual updates on the Dead, The Differential, The Minus 56 and ...
This week's quiz is provided by Owain Jones and the theme is Millennium Stadium major Cup Finals between 2001 and 2007, when the major domestic cup finals were held in Wales while Wembley is being rebuilt.
James said he should do very well on this quiz, but will he?
20 questions and a total of 28 possible correct answers to be had in total. Let us know your scores in the comments or on the #trivia Slack channel but remember no spoilers please.
Good luck!
Sunday's Planet FPL Derby reviewed, was it a deserved victory for Suj's Hammers?
Suj heaps praise on a few starring Hammers and James stands up for Harry Kane again but there is a concession that Kane's 'peak' has not only gone, but long gone.
Plus, it could be curtains for the Tottenham careers of Dele Alli and Harry Winks, James details what he saw from the scuffles inside the London Stadium on Sunday and a future debate is opened on the state of stadium atmospheres.
How my timeline saw Saturday's lunchtime kick off.
Have a laugh about it, even if went badly
Sunday wasn't the first time Manchester United have been beaten in the Premier League by five goals to nil. That first happened 25 years ago last week.
We remember this thumping win for Newcastle at St James's Park featuring discussion on Keegan, Ferguson Shearer & the class of 92 and some football that was more direct than many of us remember
On this week's Q&A - at the second time of asking - topics include:
- Midfield enablers
- Norwich out of their depth
- Leeds in trouble
- Neville defending Solskjaer
- Bruce the player and the manager
- Good blood, bad blood
- Why United's defeat on Sunday was so historic versus previous heavy defeats
- Salah, Ronaldo, Foden, Grealish, Iwobi & more including who forgot to press record, caramel causes an argument and the Tottenham cuss that even had James laughing out loud
Early release of Thursday's Clash of the Correspondents for all Patrons
Hi Patrons,
We've had a bit of a cock up this afternoon. We recorded the Q&A for you only to realise at the end that we hadn't been recording.
As you can probably guess, that's bloody frustrating for us. Rather than re-record now we're going to leave it until tomorrow when the frustration has subsided.
Instead we'll have an early release for you tonight of Clash of the Correspondents with @FPL_LocoLord and @FPLSeagull (Liverpool v Brighton).
Apologies for the inconvenience

It looks like we're going deep on Kai Havertz, is he getting the armband too? There's a closer look at captaincy for the weekend. James talks through why he's taking a -8 and Suj has made two sexy looking free transfers.
Plus all the usual, Dead, Differential and Minus 56 updates and all the weekend games predicted including a couple of tips for a few surprise 'away' results.
James also reveals his Lukaku replacement plan in Sky Fantasy but he now needs to work out Plan B in case Plan A doesn't play.
And the Podcast ...
This week's quiz is provided by FPL Mango meaning James is on the answers to drop (he thinks) more knowledge bombs.
Each question has an answer between 1 to 20 and no number is repeated in the answers with all questions themed around the Premier League.
Let us know your scores in the comments or on the #trivia Slack channel but remember no spoilers please.
Best of luck!
We preview Sunday's East vs North London Derby between our clubs and despite positive wins on Sunday there's fear of defeat for both of us. We talk the tactical battle and why The Hammers should be weary of the half spaces around Declan Rice on Sunday.
Plus, Tottenham finally looked structured on Sunday and there were positive signs including something from Nuno's peak Wolves days that very much pleased James, the lack of subs and why none of the outfield players have traveled to Holland for tomorrow's Europa League ties is also c...
