Baby Fever (doodles)

So, I have a coworker who is having a baby shower on Sunday, and over my weekend I went and picked out some little baby gifts for her-- which is more fun than picking out clothes for myself tbh lol. I was inspired by all the cute things, and decided it had been a while since I've drawn any babies/baby fever. 

Fletch would be totally clueless when it comes to picking out "cute" things for babies. He's be clueless about sizes... brands... medicines to have on hand... really anything LOL. Poor guy has a lot of catching up to do, comp...

I know what you're thinking.... What the hell was the point in having a poll for the gay John Stamos name, if I was going to pick the least popular result anyway? LOL. All I can say is, sorry... the name just stuck with me for whatever reason. It's unique-- there's no other BL (or maybe any comic) character's that have that name. I liked the name Riven too, which was the most popular choice, but I just didn't like how it sounded with Harver. Two V's and all soft sounding syllables was just too much haha.

Lose the mullet!

Another round of doodles, and this time I feel pretty good about the designs! Idk if you could consider this a mullet haircut or not, but if it is it's significantly more subtle. And, I tried giving him a streak of color in his hair again, but for whatever reason it made him a LOT more girly. And since his design is already on the feminine side (long hair, more slender/lithe) I don't think I wanna add more to that. We're striking a balance here, somewhere...

I DO know now that it's the accessories/clothes that really lean his character...

This is an ongoing investigation to find the right match, and I really hope y'all don't mind. 

I thought it might help to draw the two character's together and see how the vibes felt... this actually works for me in terms of like... masculine energy? Idk how to explain it, but trying to make the characters drastically different as far as their masculinity goes just wasn't working. And I think that stems from the believability of cowboy falling for girly/ultra flamboyant twin...

Playing around with designs some more. Bottom left (purple jacket) is really the only one out of this bunch I like. But I feel like i'm still trying to get the perfect candidate.

Rowdy says he looks like BL John Stamos LOL. I'M okay with that, but apparently he's not xD 

A (Mardi Gras) Night in New Orleans - WIP

Ooooh I just had to share a WIP of this mini comic I'm working on. *rubbing my grubby little hands together* A Mardi Gras Night in New Orleans -- AKA the night Jaxsen helped Judas figure out his sexuality. We got Judas' summary in the comic, but I want to give you some more... erhem... details.

My creative juices are just... running WILD these last few days. You've been getting lots of extra content!!! Sexy Dice! Happy Valentine's Day (2024)

You guys are getting Valentine's Day a little early this year, because 1) I had this mini comic idea of Fletch and Judas trying out some sexy dice already in my head, and 2) because I think I wanna share this mini comic with public readers on the actual 14th too. :) This way you guys still get it ahead of time as a treat. 

Jaxsen 100% gave those dice to Fletch because they were too vanilla for him and Kinley LOL. (They kept rolling and rolling trying to get an exciting combination and nothing seemed to be new or exciting).

How come some nights I can draw things super easily and I don't screw up or struggle at all, and others I can't seem to draw even the simplest of things without going through all five stages of grief? lol. Small Blog Update!

I know I just did a blog update not too long ago, so I don't want to drag on too long here. I just want to touch on a couple things! 

First of all, I've had a hell of a week with my poor cat. She's been dealing with "Idiopathic Vestibular Disease" which is basically a fancy way of saying "Extreme vertigo with no known causes." Long story short, up until yesterday she's been having these episodes, and I've been a hot mess over it. The vet she saw yesterday (thankfully) was an old guy with like 40 years of experience, and...

Chapter 5 - 3

Last two updates you got the Kinley/Fletch backstory, and the explanation as to why they kissed-- this update you get a little Judas/Jaxsen secret! Those of you 5$ pledges probably have seen the mini comic where Fletch finds the picture of Judas and Jaxsen in those suits, and the cat is let out of the bag that they did sleep together once-- but I hope this little tidbit about his past is still satisfying for you. 

Long story short, Judas' never would have figured out how his own demisexuality works, if not for his trust...

I've been doing a little soul searching lately in the "inspiration" department. It's still a ways away, but I'm tiptoeing into the phase of "what comes after TLLT?" and want to start using this time to come up with character designs, potential stories and themes. I think we could all use a little rest and relaxation in our lives right? I think for Fletch and Judas that's largely based on them keeping things lighthearted and happy lol. Any activity-- even something as mundane as shaving-- can be fun and playful with these two. Their chemistry is honestly swoon worthy <3 Lol. They may never be as hot and fiery as Beau and Sage, or as healing as Kinley/Jaxsen, but they are happy couple GOALS. No doubt about it.

This is very random, but my mom dug up some of my old highschool sketchbooks! I felt like doing a little bit more variety in my doodles tonight. Started out with just a little cute Fletch and Judas and then I was thinking I wanted to draw some buffness.
