Added 2023-04-27 00:18:16 +0000 UTCI realised I never really showed much of our time in Yowah, when we went fossicking for Opals!ππ The Opals in Yowah are found in so called βYowah Nutsβ ππ iron stone concretions underneath a layer of sandstone. So one would have to dig to find itβ¦ We started with a bit of noodeling, what is just scavenging for pieces of Ironstone on the surface,. After a bit of fooling around and not finding too much, we found this nice hole, where someone else dogged all the way down to the ironstone!π So no we did not dig this holeπ Down there we actually found a few pieces, but you have to spray the ironstone with water and hold it in the sun to see if you found somethingπ₯°π In the end I had so much fun, as I love treasure hunting!!!
