I was doing raspberries on my baby's belly and then could not stop thinking about how fast my lips would have to be vibrating, hahaha. Can't believe the year is almost done (my body is still firmly in 2020) but that means it's time for a recap of the best (imho) plugins of 2023! I really liked doing this last year, so I think it's a tradition now.

Throughout the process of developing Transit we kept finding it could do amazing things it wasn't intended for, and after releasing it people kept on sending us more unique ideas. You don't have to have Transit to do all the ideas in this video - its UI is pretty straightforward so you can see what it's doing and still pick up all the approaches and effects chain ideas I share. I will say it makes a bunch of them faster to achieve though. :)

I discovered Verso Instruments a year or two ago and fell in love immediately. These unique guitars are designed and built by a wonderful guy named Robin who I enjoyed getting to know through the process of commissioning one from him. It's the first time in ages I've come across some real innovation in guitar world. Here's my video showing all its interesting features and also making a weird funky jam with the one and only Pusher.

In the latest episode of Sonic Booom, Rob and I get to play around with some awesome pedals from Gamechanger Audio, each of which is either totally unique or at least has unique features compared to similar effects out there. There's a reverb, a sustainer, two distortions that use actual PLASMA, and the most artifact-free pitch shifter I've ever used.

Sonic Boom is BACK with a double episode and we're really excited about these: Rob and I re-tuned each others' guitars in secret, and then each of us had to write a song in 90 minutes with a tuning we'd never used.

I was super happy to meet up once again with my good friend Jan Willem and check out a surprise MIDI controller build of his. We had so much fun messing with it in today's video, and obviously needed to cover a song from Zelda.
