February is the shortest month of the year, yet we managed to get a lot of work done.
I think it's safe to say we're even slightly ahead of our quarterly schedule, and that's great news.

Here's a brief report regarding what we have accomplished in January:
- Procedurally generated Chibi (check the gifs above);
- Animations for chibis: (idle, walk, run, jump, sleep, sit);
- Renpy-like Visual Novel system to display dialogues and allow user input;
- Custom shaders to change dolls (and chibis) appearance with minimal impact on performance (in Renpy, every pixel had to be recolored for every fr...

let's sum up our progress for this month:
- we are done rigging both dolls and all outfits, porting them to Unity (which will allow us to animate dolls and swap skins pretty easily);
- while we were at it, we have also added a few accessories/outfits for legs (stockings, socks, garters and the like);
- we have added particle systems to wings to make them looking more "magical";
- in order ...
While Ren'py has (had?) its uses, being a very convenient engine to create simple visual novels with none to basic animations, our games never were "simple" novels.
As many of you have witnessed over the years, we have always added complex minigames and advanced animations that pushed Ren'py to its limits, while forcing us to constantly struggle with its limitations.
For this reason, we have decided to switch to Unity as our engine of choice for our current and future projects.

We know, it's been a long time.
And we know, there seems to be a virus around that is preventing others from working.
But guess what? That wasn't our case.
Covid-19 took its toll on our freedom, forced us to rearrange our everyday life, it even took people we knew away from us (RIP, you all).
But if it really wants to stop us from working on our next project, then it will have to try harder than this.
And that's mostly because:
Witty puns from movies from the 70s aside, sorry for the delayed Patreon update.
Flu (or whatever it was) happened on last saturday night, and let me tell you, that hit me hard.
However, "hard" was not hard enough, and poor virus couldn't possibly know that his host was one tough motherf**** with a deadline to meet.
And since I've decided that NOTHING would've delayed last chapter release, I've put my 38-39-ish fever on hold and resumed work on Ciri Trainer just yesterday.

Literally, that's what we've been putting into Ciri Trainer, so far.
I thought Chapter 2 ending deserved a nice voiceover, so I've been writing/dubbing/mixing it myself and boom: here it is, in the above screenshot.
Despite my rusty acting skills (I've been working as dubber/radio host in a previous life, lol) I think the overall quality of this 2 minutes ending sequence should be pretty solid.
